The fire at Sigma brought together firefighters, law enforcement, emergency personnel, volunteers, local agencies, businesses, farmers, churches, and citizens from across the region. There are too many individuals and organizations to name without leaving someone out, but every person who responded, assisted, donated, organized, prayed, or supported in any way made a difference and we are grateful.
We especially want to recognize the many volunteer firefighters who worked long hours under dangerous conditions without compensation. Your dedication is greatly appreciated.
Henry County EMA oversaw the operations and coordinated resources. Thank you for your leadership. Thank you to the fire departments, EMS, and many other agencies that provided equipment, manpower, water, first aid and other critical resources during this emergency.
We are also thankful for our Public Works Department for maintaining water for our community and protecting our utilities.
To all law enforcement officers who helped manage traffic, secure areas, and assist responders, thank you. A special thank you to the Henry Police Department officers who went the extra mile and stepped in wherever needed.
Thank you to the volunteers, churches, businesses, and citizens who donated food, drinks, and supplies. And to the residents of Henry, thank you for your patience and cooperation. Your support made a real difference.
We are incredibly thankful for every person who answered the call to help.
