Following a lengthy investigation, Henryetta Police working with the District 25 Drug Task Force, Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Immigration, the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, ATF, and other agencies served a search warrant early this morning on a property on Warren Road.
Inside the residence and surrounding outbuildings, investigators discovered what they describe as a sophisticated, multi-stage ma*****na growing operation allegedly connected to Cuban nationals. Close to 1,000 plants at various growth levels were seized.
Agents also recovered multiple fi****ms and a large-scale odor-filtration system believed to be designed to conceal the operation.
Two males and one female were taken into custody at the scene.
According to Chief Steve Norman, the original tip came from a neighbor who noticed unusual activity and reported it. Law enforcement noted this case is a strong reminder that neighbors paying attention and speaking up when something doesn’t look right plays a major role in keeping local communities safe.
