🚨 FLOOD SAFETY REMINDER 🚨
The Henryetta Police Department would like to remind everyone to use extra caution during the recent flooding conditions.
As daylight fades, standing water becomes much harder to see, making flooded roadways especially dangerous. Remember, it only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep a vehicle off the roadway.
Please:
• Never drive through flooded streets or barricaded areas.
• Slow down and use extra caution at night.
• Watch for debris, damaged roadways, and emergency personnel.
• Allow extra travel time and choose alternate routes when possible.
Our officers will continue monitoring conditions throughout the city. If you observe a hazardous roadway or emergency situation, please contact dispatch immediately.
Stay safe, look out for one another, and help us keep our community safe during these weather conditions.
