Bright Futures USA is a framework that helps bring together businesses, human service agencies, faith-based organizations, parent groups and individuals in an effort to create lasting connections to help all kids succeed. By engaging the community, we can create a learning atmosphere that enables students and teachers to focus on education and achieving success. Bright Futures operates under the b

elief that when communities invest their time, talent, and treasure in their schools, students are more likely to stay in school through graduation, have a higher degree of self-worth and confidence, and set and reach goals for the future. In turn, these students grow up to be better neighbors, quality employees, and impactful leaders in their communities. The question has been posed to us, “Why Dunklin, and why now?” As educators, our priority is to provide the best education to our students, but more importantly to keep our students safe and secure. There are many students and families in our community that are going through tough times right now, and sometimes they need a little assistance to get them back on track. We know that meeting the basic needs of our students is vital to the success of our school district. Regardless, there are students that need our help, and we must try to meet their needs as a community. Bright Futures Dunklin is going to take all of the great things that we already do and help organize those efforts to effectively engage the time, talent, and treasure of community members.
