Due to bear activity, we have greatly reduced the number and location of feeders. You are welcome to visit, and some birds will be visiting the water features, but until the rains come, we will need to cut back on feeders for the welfare of the bear.

A new MOTUS tower on our hilltop at the Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary awaits the arriving spring migrants. Combined with our tower at Casa De San Pedro B & B De San Pedro B & B, any bird or bat fitted with a transmitter that comes up the San Pedro Valley between Bisbee and Miller peak should be recorded. Thanks to Jonathan Horst and our donors for making this possible.

Caution: This video contains either s*x or violence, I'm honestly not sure which. Thanks to sharp-eyed viewers of our explore.org camera, they were able to alert us to this interesting interaction between two Hog-nosed Skunks at 4:30 a.m. off the back porch at Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary.

In honor of Thanksgiving, here's a 2 minute clip from our explore.org camera of our turkeys doing a little remodeling at the sanctuary.
