The Hereford Police Department is proud to recognize Lt. Daniel Garcia for completing Master Level School-Based Law Enforcement Training.

On Monday evening, the Hereford ISD school board, Safety and Security Administrator Bryan Hedrick, members of the HISD faculty, and Hereford Police Department staff joined in congratulating Lt. Garcia on this outstanding accomplishment. Only a small fraction of school resource officers reach the master level of training, making this an exceptional achievement.

Lt. Garcia‘s dedication to continued training, student safety, and positive relationships within our schools, reflects the high standard of service he brings to the community every day. We are fortunate to have him serving in this important role and appreciate all he does for Hereford ISD, its students, staff, families, and the Hereford community.

Thank you Hereford!

What an incredible turnout for the second annual Boots vs. Badges softball game! We were blessed with a great crowd, delicious food, awesome prizes, and plenty of fun for the entire family.

Congratulations to the Badges, who defended their title for the second year in a row with a 29 to 24 victory over the Boots! It was a competitive game filled with laughs, friendly rivalry, and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, and helped make this event such a success. Your generosity and support are what makes events like this possible.

Most importantly, every dollar raised will go toward our Shop with a Hero program, helping provide Christmas gifts for children and families in our community this winter. Because of your support, will be able to make the holiday season a little brighter for those who need it most.

From all of us, thank you for standing with your local first responders and investing in the children of Hereford. We can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

The Hereford Police Department, Hereford Fire Department, Deaf smith County Sheriff’s Office, Deaf Smith County Constables Office and Texas DPS all came together this morning at the Boots and Badges 5K. We had a great turnout and a beautiful morning for the event. All entry fees will help support our Shop with a Hero event this winter. Pictured are your top male and female finishers. Thank you to everyone that participated and to each of you that helped make this possible.
Join us this evening for the Boots vs. Badges softball game at the John Bunch Complex at 7:00. Just a reminder this is a free event and we would love to see you and your family there. There will be lots of fun for all! We will also be selling sandwiches, wraps and drinks to benefit the Shop with a Hero event! See you there!!

The Hereford Police Department is currently experiencing a partial internet outage which is impacting our main phone lines. 9-1-1 is still operational. Some cellular services, such as Verizon, are able to call in, however others, such as AT&T are unable. If you need assistance from the Police Department, please call 9-1-1.

UPDATE: All phone system issues seem to be resolved and phones are functioning normally. Thank you to WT Services for getting services restored.
