*** UPDATE TO 05/25/26 SHOOTING INCIDENT ***

The criminal complaint/arrest warrant for Taneesha Lynn Teague was amended early this afternoon to first-degree murder in reference to incident 26-2626.

Teague turned herself in at HPD just before 1:00 p.m. and is now in custody.

Hermitage Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the Lowe's parking lot shortly before midnight. Please avoid the area while the investigation is being conducted.

The suspect vehicle is reported to be a white Nissan work van, PA registration ZYB-3944, to be driven by a Taneesha Teague, who should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. Please dial 911 immediately if seen.

After years of research, planning, and investment, our body-worn cameras were deployed on May 4.

Body-worn cameras have become a staple in law enforcement. Our primary objectives for using body-worn cameras are to enhance officer safety, improve police-citizen interactions, and enhance public trust and transparency. Body-worn cameras are also useful for documenting evidence and incident scenes, as well as for report and case preparation.

While not new in law enforcement, this is new and long-anticipated technology for our department that we are eager to utilize in our continued commitment to excellence and service to our community.
