Changes for Reservable Shelters for 2027:

There are a couple of changes for reserving shelters for 2027. Reserving shelters for next year will no longer be done at the Pomme de Terre U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Project Office. Shelter reservations for 2027 and onward can be done at Recreation.gov similar to reserving campsites. Shelter reservations can still be made over the phone by calling Recreation.gov at (877) 444-6777. Reserved tags will still be posted by Park Rangers and Park Attendants/ Hosts.

Beach shelters will no longer be reservable. The day use amenities will include beach shelters and will be first come first serve. The link for each reservable shelter will be linked below. Please call our office at 417-745-6411 for any questions.

No Wake Zones are there for a reason. Reducing your speed helps protect swimmers, paddlers, and wildlife, keeps docks and boats safe from damage, and protects shorelines from erosion.

Remember, when you enter a No Wake Zone:
βœ… Slow to idle speed
βœ… Minimize your wake
βœ… Stay alert for others on the water
βœ… Take precautions to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning
βœ… Make sure every passenger stays on the vessel and keeps their life jacket on
