Capable Families is a nonprofit family support services center, which will be operated in conjunction with the highly respected and established Capable Kids Rehab Center in Hermitage Pennsylvania. Capable Families goal is to provide assistance and support throughout the community to families in their times of exceptional needs. These services can take on many different forms depending on the stren
gths and needs of our future families, but the ultimate goal is to help families enhance skills, coping mechanisms, and resolve a variety of issues to promote optimal child, as well as family development. Capable Families will address the general population, as well as specific target populations such as ethnic and cultural minorities, adolescent parents, one parent households, and kinship caregivers and our abilities to assist families facing physical health, mental health, developmental concerns,and substance abuse issues, as well as financial and domestic concerns. Capable Families will also be able to provide child advocacy services within the local school districts to assist parents and their children. It is our sincere hope that Capable Families will have a powerful and positive impact on all of the families we work with directly, but also on the community in its entirety.
