This past week I had the privilege to be recognized and received a certificate of Government Finance Master in Public Administration from Wayne State University.
I received this at the annual meeting of the National Association of County Collectors, Treasures, and Finance Officers (NACCTFO) on July 15th, in New Orleans, LA.
Thank you for allowing me to represent Hickory County and the Collector's Office to further my education to better serve this office.

**Absentee Voting has begun. You can vote now in the lower level of the Courthouse. I have attached a copy of a sample ballot for you in the comments. Please do your research and VOTE. There are some very important amendments this year for you to consider.

I would also like to ask for your vote as I continue to be your Hickory County Collector. Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last fifteen years. I am honored to be able to be your Collector for another term. Time has passed very quickly, and I have learned so much and continue to learn more as things change all the time with our legislation.

Many updates and improvements have been made over the years to make it more convenient for you the Taxpayers. You have the option of paying your taxes online, by phone, by text, by mail or in person. We also have a drop box located by the front door of the Courthouse.
We all know that no one likes paying taxes, but we will help you in a friendly and kind manner and are here to help you if we can.
Taxpayers can also make partial payments throughout the year to lessen the burden in December. It’s just like having an escrow at the bank. This can help you get caught up if you are behind or get ahead and only have a small amount due at tax time. Stop by our office if you would like more information about this program.

I will continue to improve our office and work with the people of Hickory County to the best of my ability. Thank you for your continued support and don’t forget to VOTE August 4th 2026! (or Vote now absentee)
