I was proud to co-patron Elizabeth Bennett-Parker's HB93, which Spanberger signed into law, preventing gun purchases by perpetrators of domestic violence.

I am horrified to see today’s shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Now more than ever, it's incumbent upon us all to root out all forms of hate, especially Islamophobia.

My thoughts are with the Muslim American community, as well as the families of the victims, including the family of Amin Abdullah, who bravely gave his life to save others.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said complaints about bias against Muslims are at levels unseen in decades.
