1st Day of Pre-K @ South Christian went a little something like this!!! So excited these little learners get to have their first Pre-School Learning Experience with us!

Did someone say VIBRANT LEARNING?! COLLABORATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING?! That’s exactly what students were experiencing in Mrs Coats’ Class this past Friday!! It was their first experiment of the year! Learning to work in groups…

The Story: Fred the gummy worm was riding in his boat (a plastic cup) when a wave capsized it. He is now stranded on top of his upside-down boat. His life preserver (a gummy lifesaver) is trapped underneath the boat.

The Goal: Students had to put the life preserver on Fred and flip his boat right side up.

The Catch: Students could not touch Fred, the boat, or the life preserver with their hands. They could only use four paperclips.

South Christian Families, as we prepare to begin the 2026-2027 School Year on Wednesday, August 19th, please be aware of the information below if it affects your commute to South Christian and plan accordingly. We will unload buses and car riders each morning beginning at 6:50. The Instructional Day begins at 7:10 and ends at 2:10. Arrivals at 7:10 or later will be required to check in at the front office with the proper identification and will be considered tardy. We anticipate making adjustments the first few days of school; however, these are the times this school year. We appreciate you planning ahead and partnering with our school in all things. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!
