Filing to run for the Heron Lake City Council opens on July 14, 2026 and goes to July 28, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Perspective candidates can file at the Heron Lake City Office. We have two council member position up for election and also the mayor position will be up for election. The seats open for re-election are Lance Baumann, Council Member; Mark Haberman, Council Member; and Andrew Rasche, Mayor. Stop in the Heron Lake City Hall with any questions.
