Logan college and then obtained a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in 2004 from the University of North Dakota, participating in the Indians Into Psychology Doctoral Education Program (INPSYDE). She is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. Dr. Griffith completed her internship at the Albuquerque VA with rotations in the PTSD Clinic, the Psychosocial Rehabilitat
ion Clinic, the Santa Fe Indian Hospital Behavioral Medicine Clinic and the New Sunrise Residential Treatment Center on the Acoma Pueblo. In addition, she has trained at Circle of Nations Indian School in Wahpeton and Four Winds Community School in Fort Totten. Ten years of her career was spent at the VA Medical Center in Marion, Illinois working with Veterans in the areas of PTSD and Substance Use Disorders. Her specialization is in cognitive-behavioral treatment in the area of addictions. Dr. Griffith has extensive experience working with patients who suffer from PTSD, anxiety, depression, relational problems, and addictions. She is also experienced in providing psychological assessment of personality and intellectual/learning assessments. She is skilled in working with children through geriatric populations; She entered private practice in Bismarck North Dakota for several years where she obtained certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Training through the Maiberger Institute. Her lifelong goal has been to return to serve the people, veterans and families of Southern Illinois which she has always considered home. Her co-founder and office director JJ Diebolt is also a longtime resident of Southern Illinois, graduating from Chester High School in Randolph County, Illinois and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, JJ has backgrounds in communication, including radio, television, photography and meteorology. JJ was Chief forecaster for a radio station in the Chester area, before going on to co-found three homes for the developmentally disabled in Jackson County. There, he managed records, office organization, human resources and day-to-day operations. He then went on to State service in Arizona and Federal Service. As an investigator he assisted people who's lives were stolen by the all-too-common occurrence of ID Theft. In all his work history, JJ has worked with people with a deep sense of empathy and compassion and his great skills in these areas make him the perfect person to greet you as you walk in the door.
