Throughout the weekend, the team at Penn State Health Life Lion was proud to support coverage operations for the air show and the incredible U.S. Navy Blue Angels flight team.

Beyond the excitement in the sky, one of the most meaningful moments came on the ground — when members of the Blue Angels visited Penn State Health Golisano Children's Hospital to spend time with some of our pediatric patients and families.

Events like these reflect the importance of partnership, service, and community. We are honored to work alongside other dedicated professionals who inspire our communities!

For the fourth consecutive year, Penn State Health received a 3-Star Employer Award from the VETS Indexes Employer Awards program for our commitment to recruiting, supporting and empowering members of the military community.

Penn State College of Medicine also earned a Recognized Employer Award in its first year participating in the program.

Life Lion EMS and Critical Care crews are on site at the Central PA Airshow this weekend, providing medical support for fans, performers, and event staff.

We are proud to be part of such an incredible experience for so many in our community. Supporting an event of this size takes months of planning, coordination, and preparation.

We are grateful for our strong relationships and collaboration with our Public Safety, Public Health, and Emergency Preparedness partners. Their support is essential to making events like this safe and successful.

There is still one more day to see the Blue Angels and all of the other amazing performances at Harrisburg International Airport. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

This week is National EMS Week. I was proud to join colleagues and community members at the Capitol today to honor EMS professionals through Pennsylvania’s Star of Life Award – recognizing 25 or more years of dedicated service in emergency medical services.

Congratulations to our very own Robert Smith, a flight paramedic with Penn State Health Life Lion! As a small token of appreciation, I presented him with an official House citation to commemorate his service and commitment to our communities.

The Star of Life Award honors EMS professionals who have reached 25 years or more of service, recognizing a career defined by skill, dedication and lifesaving service. On this day and every day, thank you to all of the men and women in EMS for everything you do.
