Our Pulled Pork BBQ Fundraiser is happening today, Saturday, June 6, from **12:00 PM - 2:00 PM** at the South Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company!

Good news — we have **extra meals available**, so if you didn't purchase tickets in advance, you can still stop by and purchase a meal while supplies last!

Each meal includes our delicious pulled pork BBQ and sides, with all proceeds helping support your local volunteer firefighters.

🦆🐥 Fowl Play 🦆🐥

This afternoon, your South Hanover Township Volunteers were dispatched to Goldfinch Lane for an animal rescue. When we arrived, we found six small, but very opinionated, ducklings that had found themselves in a storm drain.

Thanks to some gentle persuasion and the helping hands of some of our wonderful residents, all 6 ducklings were safely removed and reunited with momma, who kept a watchful eye over the operation from afar.

Residents may notice smoke in the area today as the Pennsylvania Game Commission conducts prescribed burns on State Game Lands 210 and 211 in Dauphin County. These burns are planned and monitored to improve habitat and reduce wildfire risk.

🚨 Controlled Burn Notice – Dauphin County 🚨

Today the Pennsylvania Game Commission will be conducting prescribed burns on State Game Lands 210 in Jefferson Township and State Game Lands 211 in Middle Paxton Township.

🔥 Smoke will be visible throughout Dauphin County during the burn operations.

These controlled burns are carefully planned and conducted to improve wildlife habitat, reduce wildfire risk, and maintain healthy forests.

Please do not be alarmed if you see smoke in the area today. Fire crews will be actively monitoring the burns for safety.

It is with profound sadness that we at Company 47 announce the loss of one of our own.

Longtime member and Fire Police Officer Paul Bosler passed away unexpectedly on saturday, February 7th.

Paul took great joy in serving the community, and left a lasting impact on those that knew him. He will be sorely missed.

Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
