🚸 Please be extra vigilant today and throughout the school year
• Slow down and obey all school-zone speed limits.
• Watch carefully for students in and around crosswalks
• Always follow the directions of crossing guards.
• Be patient, stay alert, and remember that children may not always be predictable.

Last night, staff members from The Goddard School of Hershey attended their annual fire safety training at the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company. The evening focused on emergency evacuation planning, staff responsibilities during an emergency, and hands-on fire extinguisher use.

Thank you to all those attending and making fire safety and emergency preparedness a priority for the children entrusted to their care.

Recently, Cub Scout Pack 203 of the United Methodist Church of Hershey held a lemonade stand, raising more than $353 dollars. This evening, they came to the firehouse and presented a check to the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department.

Chief Leonard was honored to accept the donation. After the presentation, the Scouts toured the firehouse, learned about the apparatus, and finished the visit the best way possible with a little summer water fun the Hershey Fire way.

To the Scouts, leaders, families, and everyone who stopped by their lemonade stand: thank you! Your generosity means more to our volunteers than you may realize. We could not be more grateful for the community spirit shown by these Scouts and their families.
