"Upon rejecting “Turtles All the Way Down,” one E-town school board member said teachers shouldn’t advance books that “romanticize mental illness.” I struggle to understand how a person who reads “Turtles All the Way Down” cover to cover could construe Green’s portrayal of Aza’s mental health struggles as anything close to romantic."
Sometimes I wonder whether the Lancaster County school board directors who pour their energy into restricting access to books understand the fundamental psychology of teenagers.
