The Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office is proud to welcome Deputy Mike Boone as our newest member of the team!

Deputy Boone will be serving as the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Hertford Grammar School, where he will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our students and staff.

SROs do more than provide protection—they build relationships, mentor students, and help create a positive learning environment. We are excited to have Deputy Boone making a difference in our schools and community.

Today our deputies had the honor of participating in the Special Olympics alongside the Perquimans County School System and other surrounding counties. Events like this are a reminder of what community is all about, coming together to support one another, celebrate achievements, and build lasting relationships. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event and proud to stand with our community in supporting these outstanding individuals.
