School is back, and that means school zones are busy again!

Slow down, stay alert, and watch for students, buses, and pedestrians. Our deputies will be out in the community and in school zones helping keep our students safe.

Please obey the posted speed limits, put the phone down, and give yourself a little extra time when traveling through school zones.

Slow down. Stay alert. Help us keep our kids safe.

7 DAYS OF SCHOOL SAFETY — DAY 2

Today’s focus is School Bus Safety.

When a school bus is stopped with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, slow down and stop.

Watch for children, give buses plenty of space, and stay alert in areas where buses are loading and unloading.

A few seconds of patience can help protect a child.
