The Air Force Engineering and Technical Services (AFETS) program is the primary source of engineering and technical services for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). AFETS personnel are DOD Civil Servant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who deliver expert field level technical assistance, training, and sustainment on complex aircraft and cyber/communication weapon systems, enabling and enhancing aircraft sortie production capability as well as cyber/communication weapons system security and availability in garrison and deployed.
