The Perquimans County Library Summer Reading Program 2026 has officially come to an end!

It was standing room only at our Paleo Party as we wrapped up the summer. Participants turned in their final reading logs, received prizes, had lunch and were able to get face painting done by the fabulous Ms. Sheila. We also had a visit from our favorite dinosaurs - DJ Rex and Paige.

If you were not able to attend yesterday, the final day to drop off reading logs and pick up prizes is August 7.

Perquimans County kids did an amazing job this summer reading. Preliminary numbers show they read over 50,600 minutes. That means on our dinosaur ruler (every 500 minutes read = 1 foot) we have read taller than 101 feet. That equals to 2 Brachiosaurus and a T-Rex combined!
