Tiger Nation, I give you our final three Leaders of the Day for this school year! Each one of them is a 6th grader and will be attending another school next year, but we are confident that they will continue to lead wherever they are. The foundation has been set and we know that Kevin, Elisa, Emma, and all of our Tiger leaders will teach others the Topaz way, which is to be safe, respectful, responsible, and above all CHOOSE KINDNESS! Congratulations to our very own Rosie Diaz! She won our local Elks Lodge American Essay Contest and then proceeded to win at the state level. It gets better! Her essay was then reviewed, scrutinized, and judged with all of the contest winners from California and Hawaii. Rosie came in as the 3rd place winner and we could not be prouder of our Tiger for her accomplishment!

It is another great day to be a Tiger! Some of our 2nd graders reported on endangered species the last couple of weeks. They put in a lot of time and effort on their projects and presented them to their classes. Fun fact: all six remaining species of tigers are on the endangered list EXCEPT the Topaz Tiger! Good thing because we love our Tigers!

Good morning Tiger Nation! Our 6th graders promoted on Thursday and it was great! We are so proud of each of our Tiger scholars and recognize all of the hard work that they put in to matriculate to 7th grade. Congratulations to the class of 2032! We will miss you, but as part of the Topaz family we hope you will come back and visit because once a Tiger, ALWAYS a Tiger!

What a busy and wonderful week we had at Topaz, Tiger Nation! It is hard to believe that we are close to the end of this school year. Our leaders this week have shown that they are capable of great things and because of that were chosen to represent their classrooms, and our school, as Tiger leaders. One thing that stood out this week is that two of our scholars want to be teachers because, "my teacher is such a good teacher." Not only do we love our scholars, but we love our staff because they help change lives one scholar at a time. Our leaders are being led by the best and we look forward to being served by our Tigers in the future!

Serendipity Day was a huge success, Tiger Nation! What a great day to enjoy with our scholars, volunteers, and community members! Our scholars took advantage of all of the wonderful workshops. There was planting, playing, and partaking of scrumptious food! Thank you to all of those that made this important day such a success! It was, as always, serendipitous!

Good morning Tiger Nation! The week started off strong with the 6th grade dance. DJ PJ got the pod rockin' with some jams and our scholars broke it down tiger style. Good evening Tiger Nation! Our Leaders of the Day chose a menagerie of ways to serve our community this week. Our lady Tigers want to be actresses, while our gentlemen Tigers are going to serve our community in a variety of ways. When Roberto was asked why he wants to be a truck driver he responded, "because I want to be like my dad." What a great answer! And who doesn't like a good sea lion trainer and nice school bus driver? Our Tigers are taking over the world!!

On Friday, our A-Team athletes descended on Oak Hills High School to participate in the HUSD Games. Our scholars showed out in force to support our athletes as they left for the event and Tiger Nation rocked the stands at the stadium! During the games, our Tigers competed with furiosity and showed out for our community! Congratulations to all of our Tiger athletes for their hard work!
