In another address to the Hewitt City Council, RJ Pase focused on accountability. With that, came 2 calls to action.

1) To the council- 95% of the races in the last 5 years have been uncontested. Therefore the members are challenged to have a higher sense of self accountability as they make decisions.
2) To the citizens of Hewitt- Step up and put your name on the ballot. Even if you lose, it will still make the incumbent have to earn their spot rather than have yet another election cancelled due to no opponents.

Hey yā€™all itā€™s RJ.

Due to some other commitments, Iā€™m not sure when Iā€™ll speak again to Hewitt city council but Iā€™m hoping no later than a September meeting.

That said, I want to spoil one thing Iā€™m going to say: it is going to be a CALL TO ACTION: We need people to step up and run for the council. They have elections every May so thereā€™s opportunities galore.

I personally ran in Hewitt back in 2023 and yes I lost but it helped me grow into who I am now. And sometimes just simply putting your name on there just so itā€™s an actual contested election is better than nothing!

Plus you could be a one issue campaign- if elected youā€™ll move to end the Flock contract (or any other company they try). If enough of you get elected you can get the motion to carry!

I no longer live inside Hewitt limits otherwise Iā€™d throw my hat in again. I can also help coaching and whatnot.

Pray/think/sleep on it and consider stepping up and making a difference!

Iā€™m going to pin this so I donā€™t have to repeat myself to death lol

HAVING A SMARTPHONE, CAMERAS, SMART DEVICES etc at oneā€™s home or at someoneā€™s place of business is NOT THE SAME AS GOVERNMENT SURVEILLANCE!

Loweā€™s and Home Depot have had these type of cameras for years in their parking lot. If I wanted to I could choose to go to Northern Tool, Ace, etc.

I however canNOT choose to not be subject to government surveillance. I could just be taking my son to school but the camera will pick up my plate.

Please for the love of all thatā€™s good, holy and free, remember the difference between these two fundamentally different things.

Hereā€™s the locations of the Flock cameras in the Hewitt area.
I will give credit where credit is due- when I submitted FOIA requests to multiple entities, Hewitt was the only one who provided a specific list of locations with the other information requested.
That said, all these need to come down prontoā€¦ or letā€™s add more outside their homes like what was suggested last meeting šŸ˜‰
