Options for Community Living, Inc. is joining forces with Kiwanis Five Towns in supporting the Governor’s project by donating Bomba socks to add to our blessing bags! These organizations both know the importance of helping our neighbors to “put their best foot forward”!

Five Towns Kiwanis Club is proud to participate in Governor Carla Ingram’s Blessing Bags project. By collecting suitcases and duffel bags to donate, children in foster care will be able to relocate with dignity and will also be able to have a bag of their own. Many don’t understand the importance of what seems like a small thing, but the ability to have something of their own, and to move using a suitcase instead of a plastic bag, is essential in building self esteem and a feeling of normalcy. We proudly support the Governor in her efforts and will keep collecting.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Jeannette M Bressant (Amitrano), past First Lady, wife of immediate past President, Billy Bob Bressant, daughter of past President, George Amitrano, and his wife, First Lady, Helen. Jeannette embodied the true spirit of Kiwanis always putting family, friends, and service to the community first. She will be greatly missed by Kiwanis Five Towns, and all who loved her. Our prayers are with Billy and the family. May she rest easy. Arrangements are as follows: Visitation: Thursday, May 21, 2-4 & 7-9, Flinch &Bruns, 34 Hempstead Ave, Lynbrook.
Services: Friday, May 22, 10am, Freedom Chapel International Worship Center, 641 Broadway, Amityville.
