Tonight, free music to the public!

The Freedom Sings USA Event is tonight at 7:00 PM at the Heyworth American Legion, Post 624.

Freedom Sings USA provides songwriting and music-arts therapy programs for Veterans and Military families. We proudly work with Veterans across our great nation, partnering with award-winning and Grammy-nomined songwriters to lead workshops, classes, and events that help America’s heroes share their stories and find healing through music. Whether you’re a Veteran seeking connection, a songwriter wanting to give back, or an organization ready to support our mission, we invite you to join us—because Music is Good Medicine™.

Congratulations to Karen Schieler for spotting the Library's Eagle at the Hornet's Nest last week! The Eagle is now off to its final location before finding its permanent home with one of our four weekly winners. Let us know if you see it!

We're celebrating America's 250th this summer! Beginning May 18, keep an eye out for the Library’s eagle as it travels to a different local business each Monday. If you spot the eagle, stop by the Library, tell us where you found it, and enter your name into that week’s prize drawing.

Weekly winners will be drawn each Friday afternoon through June 12 and will receive a small prize, and all four winners will be entered into a grand prize drawing to win the eagle itself! The grand prize drawing will take place before the Freedom Sings U.S.A. concert at the American Legion on June 18 at 7 p.m.
