chool Director Yodelvys Pardo began swimming at the age of 5 years old, when his parents took him to the local swim hole in his native land of Cuba. Since then Yodelvys became enamored with the sport of swimming and recreation, opening his first swim school at the age of 18, teaching people from his community how to swim. The sport of swimming drove him to the love of recreation as a whole, he dec

ided to go to school to receive a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education. Over the years Yodelvys migrated to the United States re certified his degree and began working in Miami Springs as a physical education teacher, the closure of the pool in Miami Springs rallied local parents who did private swim lessons to ask him to open a swim school to teach their children. Starting Atlantis Swim School and owning his own company had been a dream of his for many years. Yodelvys is excited to share his passion and love of the sport of swimming with people of all ages and skills levels.

La flotación de espalda puede ser incómoda para muchos nadadores principiantes. Es como estar suspendido en el aire, con la sensación de que puedes caer.
Pero aprender a flotar boca arriba es una habilidad esencial que puede salvar vidas.
En una emergencia, poder mantener la calma y flotar hasta por 3 minutos puede marcar la diferencia. Los rescates no ocurren de inmediato-generalmente toman varios minutos después de que alguien entra al agua.
Flotar también te ayuda a conservar energía si estás en una corriente o si te cansas al nadar.
👉 Aprende a relajarte. Confía en el agua. Puede salvar tu vida.

The back float can feel uncomfortable for many beginner swimmers. It’s like being suspended in the air with the fear of falling.
But learning to float on your back is an essential life-saving skill.
In an emergency, being able to stay calm and float for up to 3 minutes can make all the difference. Most rescues don’t happen instantly they often take several minutes after someone enters the water.
Floating also helps conserve energy if you’re caught in a current or become too tired to keep swimming.
