The Hibbing Jubilee returns July 9–11, 2026 for another exciting year of community celebration!

The festivities kick off Thursday, July 9 with the Annual Jubilee Business After Hours and Raffle.

Friday brings a full day of downtown fun, including Downtown Sidewalk Sales, the Jubilee Car Show on First Avenue, and the return of Hoops on Howard. Visitors can also enjoy power plant tours at Hibbing Public Utilities, followed by a fireworks display at dusk.

Saturday is packed with family-friendly activities, starting with the Kids Carnival sponsored by NorthRidge Credit Union, along with Festival on Fifth featuring vendors and crafters. The day continues with the Grand Parade at 3:00 PM, and wraps up with the Hibbing Street Dance on Howard Street featuring live bands, great entertainment, food vendors, and plenty more fun for all ages.

Progress is happening in Downtown Hibbing!

Yesterday marked a major milestone as demolition began on the former Teske building on the 400 block of Howard Street. After years of planning and preparation, it's exciting to see visible progress and the start of a new chapter for this important downtown block.

The flower baskets are officially up, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who sponsored a basket this year. Your support helps make our community more beautiful, welcoming, and vibrant throughout the summer.

A special thank you to KKunnari Greenhousecreating the stunning baskets and for their help delivering and placing them throughout downtown. Their hard work and dedication make this project possible year after year.

We would also like to thank Jeff "Chicky" Stimac of AArrow Auto Glass & Doorfor generously volunteering his time to help distribute baskets around town. Community spirit like his is what makes Hibbing so special.

The Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce and Hibbing Schools is thrilled to officially announce the return of one of Hibbing’s most beloved community events — Hoops on Howard is BACK for the 2026 Hibbing Jubilee!

After years away, downtown basketball is returning to the streets of Hibbing during Jubilee Sidewalk Sales on Friday, July 10, 2026, and we could not be more excited to bring this incredible tradition back to our community.

For so many people, Hoops on Howard was more than just a tournament. It was a summer tradition that brought Downtown Hibbing to life with competition, excitement, hometown pride, and unforgettable memories. Families lined the streets, businesses filled with visitors, fans cheered from the sidewalks, and players of all ages came together for a day that truly captured the spirit of Hibbing.

Now, that energy is coming back!
The return of Hoops on Howard is a celebration of community, tradition, and the pride we all share in our hometown. We are excited to once again see the courts fill Downtown Hibbing with players, fans, laughter, and the incredible atmosphere that made this event such a favorite for so many years.
