🚨🚨🚨TRAFFIC ALERT🚨🚨🚨

The traffic signal at HWY 125 and Seventh street is currently not functioning properly. Until repairs are completed, motorists are advised to treat the intersection as a three-way stop.

Please come to a complete stop, use caution, and yield to other vehicles as necessary before proceeding through the intersection.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while this issue is being addressed. Please drive safely.

We are looking for motivated, dedicated individuals who are ready to serve and protect our community with integrity and professionalism.

• Must be 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• KLEC certification preferred (but not required)

Starting Pay:
💵 Certified officers start at $22/hour
💵 Non certified start at $19/hour

🚨 Public Safety Alert 🚨
Vehicle Break-Ins & Attempted Thefts

The Hickman Police Department has recently received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins and attempted vehicle thefts in our area.

We want to remind everyone to take a few simple precautions to help protect your property:

🔹 Lock your vehicle doors, even if parked at your home
🔹 Remove all valuables from plain sight (wallets, purses, fi****ms, electronics, etc.)
🔹 Do not leave keys or key fobs inside your vehicle
🔹 Park in well-lit areas whenever possible
🔹 Report any suspicious activity immediately.

These types of crimes are often crimes of opportunity. Taking a few extra seconds to secure your vehicle can make all the difference.
We ask for the community’s help in staying alert and reporting anything unusual.

⚠️ Severe Weather Alert ⚠️

We are urging all residents to stay alert as severe weather is expected in our area tonight. Conditions may include strong storms, heavy rain, large hail, high winds, and possible tornado activity.

Please take the following precautions:
• Monitor local weather updates and alerts
• Charge your phones and have a backup power source if possible
• Identify a safe place in your home (interior room, lowest level, away from windows)
• Secure outdoor items that could become hazardous in high winds
• Avoid unnecessary travel during the storm
• Have an emergency kit ready (flashlights, batteries, medications, water)

If a warning is issued, take shelter immediately. Do not wait until conditions worsen.

🚨New Speed Limit on Myron Cory Drive🚨

The Hickman Police Department would like to inform the public that a new speed limit has been installed for Myron Cory Drive. The new posted speed limit is 25 mph. 

We ask all drivers to be mindful of the updated speed limit and adjust your driving accordingly. This change is in place to help improve safety for residents, pedestrians, and everyone traveling through the area.

Please slow down, stay alert, and help us keep our community safe!

Please be advised that the intersection of 7th Street & Union City Highway will be closed beginning Monday the 23rd, for repairs. The intersection will remain closed until the project is completed.
