Thunderstorms continue to impact extreme southeast MO, southern IL, extreme southwest IN and all of western KY this morning.
The heaviest storms are occurring over western KY where some localized flooding and hydroplaning issues are occurring.
Storms are remaining below severe limits at this time, but gusty winds up to 40 mph are still possible.
This activity will continue to move southeast and out of the area over the next 2 hours or so.

A couple rounds of strong to severe storms possible today. The first round will be around sunrise this morning with the severe threat between 7-11 am. The second round will depend on the timing of the first. If the first round slows down it may just re-intensify as it shifts south through the area. If it moves through quickly, then the atmosphere may destabilize enough for more robust storms this afternoon. If the second round does materialize then wind damage may become more widespread and the hail may be a bit larger. Stay tuned for updates!

WOW that thunderstorm came through rather quickly. Hope all are ok. If you have any storm damage (uprooted trees or roof damage) private message this page with address and picture if possible. Looks like more rain overnight and tomorrow so everyone take care.
