🇺🇸 HONORING THE FALLEN | SEPTEMBER 6TH 🇺🇸

The Hickory Creek Police Department is proud to join our neighboring communities and first responders for a special evening of remembrance as we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

On September 6th at 6:30 p.m., participants will gather on both sides of the Lewisville Lake Bridge and walk toward the midpoint, coming together as one community to remember the fallen, honor our first responders and service members, and ensure that the sacrifices of September 11th are never forgotten.

📍Meeting Locations:
South Side: Doubletree Ranch Park
North Side: Oak Drive & SB I-35E Service Road

We invite our Hickory Creek community to join us for this meaningful event. Bring your family, your American flag, and walk alongside local first responders, veterans, and neighbors as we remember those we lost and honor those who answered the call.

🎒🚔Now THAT'S how you make an entrance on the first day of school!

Officer Thacker had the special opportunity to give one of our young community members a ride to her first day of school, and we're pretty sure arriving in a police car is a hard first-day experience to beat! 💙

Moments like these may seem small, but they can leave a lasting impression. Creating positive experiences with law enforcement at a young age helps build trust, connection, and some pretty great memories along the way.

We hope she, and all of our students, have an amazing, safe, and successful school year! 📚✏️

As everyone settles back into the school routine, please remember to slow down and watch your speed in our school zones during posted hours.

🚨 Traffic Alert 🚨

Hickory Creek Police Department officers, alongside our partners with the Lake Dallas Police Department, are currently working a major two-vehicle crash on the northbound I-35E service road at FM 2181.

Our officers, firefighters, and tow operators are working diligently to safely clear the scene and reopen the roadway. We expect the intersection to be cleared within approximately 20 minutes.

Please avoid the area if possible, use caution if traveling nearby, and remember to slow down and move over for first responders working on the roadway.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from the Hickory Creek Police Department!🇺🇸

It's incredible to see so many families enjoying our beautiful corner of Lake Lewisville this Independence Day.

Whether you're on a boat, a personal watercraft, or relaxing along the shoreline, we want everyone to make it home safely.

A few reminders before heading out:

• 🚤 Never operate a boat or personal watercraft while impaired. Boating While Intoxicated (BWI) is against the law, and alcohol significantly increases the risk of serious crashes and drownings.

• 🦺 Wear your life jacket. Life jackets save lives, and many drowning victims weren't wearing one.

• 🌊 Jet Ski operators: In Texas, operators must be at least 13 years old to operate alone, and anyone 13–17 years old must successfully complete a state-approved boater education course.

• ⚓ Be courteous. Keep a safe distance from swimmers, other boats, and personal watercraft, and always maintain a proper lookout.

Our officers will be out on the roads and partnering with area agencies to help ensure everyone has a safe holiday.

Celebrate responsibly, look out for one another, and let's make this Independence Day memorable for all the right reasons.
