Sometimes the hardest part of having nowhere to go is feeling like no one sees you.

But homelessness doesn’t erase a woman’s dignity. It doesn’t erase everything she has experienced, everything she has overcome, or everything she still hopes her life can become.

That’s why we show up.

Sometimes hope looks like clean clothes. A warm shower. A safe place to sit. A conversation. A listening ear.

And sometimes hope is simply hearing the words, “I see you. You matter.”

We will continue showing up for the women in our community because no circumstance can take away a person’s God-given worth. 💛

Who are you remembering today? 💜

International Overdose Awareness Day reminds us that behind every statistic is a person, a story, a family, and a life that mattered.

This afternoon, from 6–7 PM, we’ll gather at Downtown Union Square alongside our community partners to remember those we’ve lost, celebrate recovery, raise awareness, and connect our community with resources that can save lives.

FREE naloxone will also be available — no questions asked.

Whether overdose has touched your life personally or you simply want to stand in support of our community, you are welcome to join us.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 5th from 11 AM–4 PM at Catawba Meadows Park and come spend the day celebrating recovery, connection, and community.

There will be recovery stories, community resources, vendors, kids’ activities, food trucks, music, and more. Help us spread the word and we’ll see you there!

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of something so important to our community. 💙

The PIT Count is about so much more than a number. The Point-in-Time Count helps identify individuals experiencing homelessness in our community and gives local organizations a clearer picture of where needs exist and how resources can better meet those needs.

We feel so fortunate to take part in this year’s effort and the accompanying Resource Fair, where local nonprofits came together to connect individuals with information, programs, and support available right here in our community.

This is what community looks like — showing up, working together, and making sure our neighbors know they are seen.
