LRU in coordination with the Catawba County Library is continuing the six part conversations about the rich and varied history and experiences of Latinos, who have helped to shape our Nation over the last five centuries, through the public film screenings of the six part award-winning documentary program titled "Latino Americans: 500 Years of History".
This past Monday, September 21, the first group from Dr. Parrado-Ortiz's SPA 221 class, led by Lena Martinez, presented the second part of the series, "Empire of Dreams".
We invite all our friends, LRU community, alumni, teachers, students, and the Catawba community to the film screening, followed by a conversation, of the third part, titled "War & Peace".
