🎸 We dusted off our leg warmers, tutus, and neon shades, because Catawba County Schools just wrapped up the school year with an epic, '80s-themed employee celebration! 🕺✨

We had a blast celebrating all the incredible hard work from our staff this year. We have to give a shout out to the members of our Clyde Campbell Elementary School staff, who absolutely crushed it by bringing home TWO County-wide winners! 🏆🏆Join us in celebrating these phenomenal educators:

🌟 Lyndsay Durham – Catawba County Beginning Teacher of the Year!
🌟 Bridget Lackey – Catawba County Elementary Teacher of the Year!

​Talk about a dynamic duo! We are so incredibly proud of Lyndsay and Bridget for their dedication, passion, and the amazing impact they make on our students every single day.

We are looking for a K-6 Teacher Assistant and Bus Driver to join our energetic and dynamic team. This dual position will focus on working with teachers to deliver engaging and meaningful instruction to students. Bus driving portion can include anything from having a regular route, sub bus driver and bus monitoring.

🗓️Mark your calendars! Awards Day is coming Thursday, May 21st for grades 1st-5th. On Friday 5/22, we have 6th grade graduation. Check with your child's teacher for grade level award times.

🎖️We had the honor of celebrating our smallest students last week at the PreK Awards Day. They danced, sang, played instruments, and received certificates. It all wrapped up with a slide show and refreshments. Thank you to all of the family who came to celebrate!🎉

Join us in sending the biggest, most heartfelt congratulations to our amazing Dual Language Pre-K teacher, who officially became a U.S. citizen recently! 🇺🇸✨

🏆 Our Cougar Pride Award winnner this week is Mrs. Laura Caudle, our Speech Pathologist. Mr. Deal explained, “I chose Mrs. Laura because of her hard work, dedication, and the positivity she brings to the Clyde Campbell family. ⭐During April, we missed showcasing some of our Cougar Pride Award recepients. We want to congratulate all of these special people at Clyde Campbell. ⭐

🏆 Mrs. Llanes-Hernandez passed the Cougar Pride Award to our custodian and school nutrition worker, Dora Samaniego. Mrs. Dora is always so kind and helpful. Her smile inspires. She goes above and beyond while cleaning and working in the cafeteria.

🏆 Mrs. Tina Burch, our school nutrition manager, was chosen by Dora because she appreciates her patience and kindness. Every day she helps her in the cafeteria. She wishes her many blessings. We are very thankful for the hard work Mrs. Tina does daily in our cafeteria for our school.

🏆 Mrs. Burch passed the Cougar Award to Mr. Anthony Worley, EC Teacher Assistant, because “He is great with the kids anytime during the day that I see him. At lunch he is especially very helpful. He is a great addition to the staff at Clyde Campbell. He’s a friendly and happy staff member.” We appreciate you Mr. Worley for always being willing to step in and help where he is needed.

🏆 Mr. Worley chose EC Teacher Assistant, Mr. Chris Deal, because he has been an asset to the Clyde Campbell family. He has shown a lot of patience throughout the year while being a bus monitor and assuring our students are safe. He is a great help in the EC class with Mrs. Tedeschi. We appreciate all that he does.
