Please note our adjusted hours during finals these next two weeks.

Thur. April 30 – Sat., May 2: 8 am to Midnight
Sun. May 3: 11 am to Midnight
Mon. May 4: 8 am to Midnight
Tues., May 5: 8 am to 8 pm
Wed., May 6 - Thurs., May 7: 8 am to 5 pm
Fri., May 8: 8 am to 3 pm (Commencement)
Sat., May 9 – Sun., May 10: CLOSED

National Library Week 2026 - Meet the Staff!

Say hello to Troy Brooks, our Evening Supervisor and Coordinator of Library Operations. Troy joined us in December of 2024 where he originally worked as an Adult Services Librarian for Catawba County Public Library and a layout designer for Adams Publishing Group. He obtained his LIS from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a Bachelors in English from Appalachian State, along with a minor in Music.

In addition to acting as supervisor during the library’s evening hours, Troy is responsible for many of the library’s technical services, including cataloging, scheduling room reservations, maintaining the library’s collection of best sellers, and managing our social media. Troy also operates the library’s interlibrary loan service. If you ever have a book or article you’re trying to track down, Troy can help you find it!

When Troy is not adding books to the catalog, he’s either reading them at home, hiking a trail on the parkway, or spending time with family. You can reach Troy either at ext. 7236 or by his email at [email protected].
