Hicksville Veterans Memorial A community memorial park honoring our men and women who have served The United States of America to preserve our rights and freedom.

The Hicksville Community is building a Tribute to all Veterans. The Memorial Park will be located at the intersection of Bryan and West Arthur Street, adjacent to the Hicksville Park complex. Please consider supporting this project which honors each branch of the United States Armed Forces and all those who have served. This Memorial Park is for the community, recognizing the efforts of all citize

ns, past and present, who have served to maintain our way of life. Your donations will help bring this Park to life and honor to all for generations to come. The contemporary design features Black granite tablets with gray accent pieces to "frame" a life size "flying" bronze eagle and bronze "battle cross." The Memorial Tablets will be arranged in an arc within a deep red kidney shaped paver platform, fit into a rising mound of plantings and sloping lawn. Other highlights include the inscriptions recording the historic timeline of all wars, a memorial tablet honoring The American Revolution, benches, three flag poles, a wandering walkway approaching from either street and enhanced lighting. We are in the process of raising the estimated cost of $175,000 to complete this project. Ask how you can be a part of "taking ownership" of our Memorial Park and pay tribute to our local Veterans.
