This June and July, I'm opening the screened porch of our restored 133-year-old farmhouse for The Summer Celebration Table, a hosted afternoon tea experience at Arrowsmith Farm & Retreat near Hicksville.

Guests will enjoy seasonal sweet and savory tea fare, hot and iced tea selections, vintage china place settings, and meaningful conversation in a beautiful historic setting. As we celebrate America's 250th birthday season, we'll also share a few stories and reflections inspired by faith, gratitude, freedom, and heritage.

In one week, I'll be setting the table for the very first Summer Celebration Table at Arrowsmith Farm & Retreat. 🫖

The china is coming out. The menu is taking shape. The porch is ready to welcome guests for a summer afternoon of tea, conversation, and hospitality in our restored 133-year-old farmhouse.

About our porch! The front porch has one of my favorite views. The beautiful giants tower over the house and could probably tell us many stories about its inhabitants. These giant Norway Spruce trees remind us of life in every season.

For years, we've been restoring and preserving our 133-year-old farmhouse, grateful to serve as stewards of a piece of local history.

One of the greatest joys of that journey has been imagining the people who have gathered here before us and dreaming about the memories still waiting to be made.

This summer, we're opening our porch and inviting a few guests to join us for The Summer Celebration Table.

Together we'll enjoy a seasonal tea experience, meaningful conversation, and a simple reflection on faith, freedom, and our American heritage.

It will be intimate, welcoming, and intentionally unhurried.
