At the Hico Senior Center we are so thankful to the wonderful people and businesses that step up and help us with our daily meals. It’s this food that provides a nice lunch for our Senior Center patrons and our Meals on Wheels Seniors that can’t make it to the Center for lunch. Thank you! We are blessed. ❤️

For the week of June 8th through June 11th our daily cooks are:

Monday 6-8. Mr. Freezer and the Director, Dessert by Pat Owens (Breakfast Casserole, Green Beans, Cake)

Tuesday 6-9. Chari Dollar (Pork Roast Stroganoff)

Wednesday 6-10. Church of Christ

Thursday 6-11. Chris & Nancy Post with Dessert by Kim Vinson (Chicken Enchiladas, Rice, Beans, Banana Bread)

Do you have any old eye glasses laying around and collecting dust? Well bring them to the Hico Senior Center and toss them in the collection box provided by the Hico Area Lions Club.

Well y’all, it’s going to be another fun & tasty week at the Hico Senior Center. Come on out at noon (Monday through Thursday) and join us for a great lunch and lots of socializing. Suggested donation is $3 for a delicious meal.

Thursday, June 4th, lunch for the Hico Senior Center was prepared by Kim Vinson. The menu included Turkey & Cheese Sliders, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Macaroni & Cheese, Lettuce Salad, and Mixed Fruit Cobbler. Thank you Kim for your generosity and hard work putting this delicious meal together.

Today, Wednesday, June 3rd lunch for the Hico Senior Center was provided by The Hico Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The menu included Smoked Sausages in Barbecue Sauce, Potato Salad, Baked Beans and Chocolate Cream Pie. Thank you guys for a tasty lunch.

The meals on wheels drivers were also provided by the Hico Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Thank you Jayme Brooks and Marty Sandoval for getting the meals out to our homebound patrons. These folks at the Nursing Home do so much for our Senior Center. Your generosity and kindness is greatly appreciated by our patrons. ❤️

Today, Monday, June 1st, lunch for the Hico Senior Center was provided by Team Betti (Betti Cryer, Anna Denton and Tracie Alman). The menu included Spaghetti with meat sauce, Salad, Garlic Bread and Banana Pudding. Thank you ladies for a delicious meal.

Today, Monday, May 25th, aka Memorial Day, was a good day for Rusty Cryer to grill up some hamburgers for lunch. Thank you Hico High School for providing the meat. We also had Macaroni & Cheese (by Kim Vinson), Chips, Strawberry Shortcake (also by Kim) and Cookies. It was a perfect lunch to honor and remember our fallen heroes.

The meals on wheels drivers today were Ali Cryer and her grandpa Rusty Cryer. Thanks for getting the meals out to our homebound patrons.
