A special shoutout to Izzy M., a sixth grader who was inadvertently left off the A-B Honor Roll during our end-of-year Awards Day. The quote pictured between her and Mr. Swanson seems fitting, given all her hard work. We sincerely apologize for our oversight, but want to offer a huge congratulations on this noteworthy honor. We’re proud of you, Izzy!

We would like to extend a special shout-out and heartfelt thanks to the Always Rolling – Autism: Love Needs No Words foundation. Their generous donation to East (and all Alexander County Schools) will directly benefit our Exceptional Children’s Department. We are truly grateful for community partnerships and the support they provide our students.

While the school year isn't quite over yet—with tomorrow being a full day—we wanted to get these dates on your radar if your student is interested in playing softball or men’s or women’s soccer. Additionally, rising freshmen had the opportunity to hear from ACHS’ Athletic Director, Nathan Robinson, yesterday during graduation practice. Students were encouraged to follow the high school's social media page for similar updates and information.

Today, our sixth graders participated in Education Day at the Crawdads' stadium. As you can see in the photos, despite the heat, students and staff enjoyed a wonderful time of fun and fellowship. It was a great way to wrap up the school year and celebrate their successes!

Families, please remember that we have eighth-grade graduation tomorrow morning, beginning promptly at 10:00 AM at the high school. Tomorrow is also Awards Day at East for our seventh grade (11:45 AM) and sixth grade (1:30 PM). We hope to see you there as we celebrate the end of a great school year!

Huge thanks to the Wike Family for treating our staff to lunch today! We enjoyed a fantastic spread of pizza, fresh salad, drinks, and homemade dessert. We’re so grateful for our supportive community and this wonderful treat after a busy testing Tuesday. Thanks again!
