UPDATE 06/11: THE BOARD HAS CANCELED THIS PUBLIC HEARING.

The Lyon Township Board will hold a Public Hearing Wednesday, June 17, at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public input, followed by a Board vote, on the direction the Township will take regarding a potential Short-Term Rental Ordinance.

2. Discuss adding access to burn permits and compost tags to the Lyon Township website.

4. Discuss and vote on Honor Security contract to install a new camera for the Fish Sculpture at Phoenix Park.
5. Discuss a bonus for Richard Mapplebeck.

7. Purchase bigger concert series signs of 11 x 17 cardstock from Express Copy for under $45.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Roscommon County Board of Road Commissioners will conduct a public hearing to consider a partial abandonment of Baker St. (Akron Ave.), a part of Section 24, Town 24 North, Range 4 West, Lyon Township, Roscommon. The hearing will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Road Commission Office, 820 E. West Branch Rd. (M-55), Prudenville, MI 48651. Written comments may be sent to the Road Commission address or e-mailed to [email protected]. Anyone needing auxiliary aids should contact us at least three days prior to thehearing at (989)366-0333 or via e-mail.

Compost is open Wednesdays and Saturdays through September 30.
Metal and electronic scrap is also accepted during compost hours. Items that can be recycled include applicances, anything that's 80% metal, computer towers, cell phones and batteries, laptops and batteries, and anything with electrical components.
