It's spring and the world is renewing itself. Instead of focusing on what more you can do or need to do, take a moment for rest and joy. Go for a walk and enjoy the birds and sunshine, spend the afternoon in the backyard with the kids, or stay in your PJs till noon and let the kids eat cereal for dinner. #HomeVisiting #MomMantra #Parenting

DYK? You can create learning opportunities during everyday activities. For instance, if you’re grocery shopping with your child, you might invite your child to describe the taste of their favorite fruit, or identify the colors of vegetables. #HomeVisiting #ParentingTips

Talking to your kids (even if you think they’re not listening) is one of the best ways to encourage language development as well as a nurturing relationship. ❤️

Extend learning by talking with your child about what’s going on. For instance, if you’re walking after dinner with your child in the neighborhood or park, you might invite your child to look for (or think of) other colors in the sunset or the color of plants and houses.
