Little Steps Learning Center Little Steps Learning Center in Social Psychology. Little Steps Learning Center has a partnership with Head Start, and follows Head Start Performance Standards.

Little Steps Learning Center was established in December of 2011, operated by Wayne and Melanie Shoudt, and is located next to the Lexington Care Center. The director, Melanie Shoudt, has been serving the area for over 20 years and has been working in the childcare field for over 24 years. She previously owned and operated Stepping Stones Child Care Center (Lexington) and Stepping Stones Learning

Center (Higginsville), and Dover Daycare. She currently has obtained her CDA and is attending Park University, where she will obtain her Bachelor's degree in Social Psychology within the upcoming academic year; while our new Assistant Director, Amanda Hass, currently has her B.A. Our center is state licensed for 38 children: 16 infant and toddlers, and a Pre-School classroom licensed for 22. Our lead teachers all have obtained their CDA's ( Child Development Associate), while all of our teacher assistants will be working towards their CDA's within the upcoming academic year, our Pre-School teacher currently has her B.A. in Psychology and her CDA; all of our teachers are mandated to ongoing training as well. The center strives to be the best, and provide quality childcare.
