***STH 77 Resurfacing Project Update***
Work has begun on resurfacing the portion of State Highway 77 from Mellen to the Iron County line. STH 77 will remain open during the construction which is anticipated to be completed in late September. There will be single lane closures throughout the project controlled by flagging or temporary traffic signals.

Work is progressing on the bridge replacement and it is anticipated that it will be finished before the original July 31, 2026 completion date! While there is still work to be done on both the surface & shoulders, it is now projected to re-open by July 24, 2026.

***ASHLAND COUNTY HIGHWAY GG CLOSURE***
***Beginning on May 26, 2026 through approx. July 31, 2026***

Ashland County Highway GG between Mellen and Clam Lake is scheduled to be closed beginning Tuesday , May 26, 2026 until completion on/around July 31, 2026 for bridge replacement over McCarthy Creek. This bridge is located in the Town of Marengo between Conley Road/FR 184 and Namakagon Road/FR 196.

Detour route is State Highway 13/77. See attached map.

Motorists must obey ALL Road Closed signage and barricades. They exist for your safety and that of the crew working to keep the highway safe for all motorists. PLEASE do not attempt to go around barricades and/or equipment & workers.
