We have to make a clear distinction between John Lewis the civil rights activist and John Lewis the career politician. The latter, like so many of his peers who weren't assassinated, imprisoned or exiled made a devil's bargain with liberal faction of white supremacy. He spent his entire political career promoting a non-Black agenda while using his past as a "civil rights pioneer" as a smokescreen to hide his betrayal of the black community.

Upward Mobility columnist Jason L. Riley writes that John Lewis deserves an honored place in history due to his work in the Civil Rights movement. But Trump has a point about what the Georgia Democrat has done lately.
