Artists in grades pre-school through 12th can design bookmarks for the High Point Public Library Bookmarks Design Contest. The 2026 Bookmark Design Contest will run from August 1 - September 30. Enter as many designs as you like, including ideas inspired by the library's upcoming 100th anniversary! Copies of the entry form are available at the High Point Public Library. For the rules & a printable entry form, visit https://www.highpointnc.gov/3074/Bookmark-Design-Contest

Winning artists, their parents, and school media specialist/teacher can attend the award ceremony to receive the first copies of their bookmarks. Winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed at High Point Public Library and Guilford County Schools.

Paws to Read (fun for ♣ ages 6 - 12) is Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. Paws to Read is a program designed to help new and reluctant readers build confidence and improve their reading skills — with the help of a friendly, nonjudgmental therapy dog! Children can curl up with a furry friend and enjoy reading aloud in a calm, supportive environment.
