On behalf of the men and women of the High Point Professional Firefighters Association, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the citizens of High Point who took time out of their evening to stand with us at Monday night's City Council meeting. Your voices matter. When our community shows up for us the way you showed up tonight, it reminds us exactly why we are proud to serve this city. Our effort to extend the Special Separation Allowance to High Point's firefighters is an effort for the health and dignity of the people who run toward danger, so you don't have to. Thank you for standing with us!

We are 4 days away from the Council Meeting on May 18th. We urge all available members to attend to fight for our merit raises within this budget proposal! They are on the chopping block due to budget cuts. Hope to see many of you there! We have definitely earned our raises this past year!

Additionally, I met with the communications team and engaged in a productive discussion regarding potential improvements to our collaborative efforts.
