The High Springs Police Department (HSPD) has a proud history of service to the High Springs community dating back to 1892. We are a full service police department offering a wide variety of services that are provided to you by full-time, part-time and reserve police officers, and an administrative assistant/evidence manager. Yesterday, local first responders and emergency management partners came together for a joint meeting focused on one shared priority: keeping our schools, students, faculty, and staff safe.

The meeting brought together agencies from across Alachua County to proactively discuss school safety, strengthen communication, share resources and expertise, and continue building strong partnerships that help us respond effectively when it matters most.

We’re grateful to the following agencies for their commitment to protecting our communities and campuses:

Isaiah Ramos has been safely located. The High Springs Police Department thanks everyone who shared the information and assisted in helping locate him.

🚨 MISSING/RUNAWAY JUVENILE 🚨

HSPD is seeking assistance locating 17-year-old Isaiah Ramos, last seen wearing all black and riding a bicycle.

Anyone with information should call 352-955-1818, option 5 or 911 for an immediate sighting.

UPDATE - Suspect taken into custody.

🚨 LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITY – COMMUNITY NOTICE 🚨

Law enforcement officers are currently in the area of the 24300 block of U.S. Highway 27, near the Chevron, attempting to locate David Medlock, a white male, DOB 01/13/1992.

Medlock reportedly fled on foot and is wanted in connection with a nonviolent warrant. At this time, he does not appear to pose an immediate danger to the public.
