The Highfill Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and members of the Centerton Police Department and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office following the passing of Captain Chris Kelley.

Captain Kelley honorably served both agencies during his law enforcement career, and his dedication to public service, leadership, and commitment to the citizens of Benton County left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of serving alongside him during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Captain. Thank you for your service. Your legacy will live on.🇺🇸

HPD will be conducting High Visibility Saturation Patrols this weekend in coordination with a multi-jurisdictional DWI Taskforce.

Our goal is simple: keep our roads safe. Increased enforcement will be focused on impaired driving, and other dangerous behaviors that put lives at risk.

If you plan to go out, make a plan to get home safely—designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, or stay where you are.

On Sunday, 4/19/26 we will be conducting training at an acquired structure at Pinalto and Highway 264. The 264 access from Pinalto will be closed from 9 am to 4 pm.

An alternate route to access 264 is Pinalto to duke hill to Douglas cemetery to 264.
