It’s been a busy few days at Highland Heights Fire! We have been completed in service training in engine operations, and today we celebrate the end of another school year with our last day Hot Dog Cookout at Millridge Elementary. We also have been seeing almost double our average emergency responses over the last week. Stay safe out there and happy summer!

Spring time means green grass, budding plants and Hydrant Flushing! Beginning on Wednesday, May 13 HHFD crews will be out completing hydrant flushing and inspection of all public hydrants within the city. Signs will be posted in the area they are flushing. If you see a crew in your area, it is advisable to hold off on laundry. If your water turns discolored while we are in your area, run a faucet on your lowest level until clear. If there are any issues or questions, please contact the FD directly at 440-442-7406

First Energy is on scene on Highland Road. Per First Energy, repairs should take 2-3 hours. (7 - 8 pm). Highland Road will remain closed until repairs are completed.

Highland Road is currently closed between Bishop and Miner Roads.. A primary electrical line is down on the ground and actively burning.

🚨FLOODING ALERT🚨
There are numerous roads closed throughout the city due to flooding. Bishop Road is closed near the Cuyahoga County Airport. Wilson Mills Road is closed due to flooding in areas of Stanwell and Rose. There are many other areas with high water. If you are unsure, please turn around and go another way. Contact HHPD to report any unsafe road conditions. 440-442-1221

We are experiencing flooding of multiple roadways within the city. Currently bishop is closed north of Vitalia and Wilson Mills is closed near Rose. Highland Rd is also experiencing high water near the City Complex. Please avoid travel if possible at this time.
