Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program - September 14th through September 26th!

Acceptable items are as follows:

Adhesives, roof tar, driveway sealer
Antifreeze
Automotive fluids, motor oil
Household cleaners
Kerosene, gasoline, lighter fluid
Oil or solvent based paint, sealers, primers, or coatings (NO LATEX PAINT)
Paint thinner, mineral spirits, turpentine
Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides
Varnishes, polyurethane, shellacs

Latex paint, batteries and flourescent bulbs are NOT accepted in this program. Propane tanks, fire extinguishers, and helium or oxygen tanks can be recycled at local retail locations or scrap metal yards.

Let the celebration of America’s 250th birthday continue! Join us for an America 250 Family Fun Day as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The festivity will be held at the Highland Heights Gazebo on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy music, face painting, kids’ crafts, games, treats, and more!

Equipment and large vehicles will be on display, and free burgers, sausage sandwiches, snacks, and giveaways will be available. Please note the new location for this event is at the Highland Heights Community Park.
