The Highland Park Old Timers/All-Class Reunion was a powerful reminder of what makes our city special.

For a few hours, politics didn't matter. Job titles didn't matter. What year you graduated didn't matter.

We were simply Highland Parkers.

We laughed, shared memories, reconnected with old friends, and celebrated the community that helped shape us.

As I look at Highland Park's future, this is the spirit I hope we can build on—a city where neighbors know one another, support one another, and work together to move our community forward.

The strength of Highland Park has never been its buildings. It has always been its people.

**Once a Parker, Always a Parker.** ❤️🖤

🔹 CHANGE is hard.

🔹 But doing NOTHING is hard too.

🏗️ Rebuilding Highland Park is hard.
But continuing to watch our city decline is hard.

🤝 Working together as residents, churches, businesses, and elected officials is hard.
But trying to stand alone and expecting progress is hard.

📢 Holding people accountable is hard.
But accepting the same problems year after year is hard.

🌱 Growth is hard.
❤️ Unity is hard.
💪 Leadership is hard.

But division, silence, and stagnation are hard too.

The truth is, life is full of hard choices.

🏙️ Highland Park has to choose its hard.

That is why I am announcing my candidacy for Highland Park City Council At-Large.

My campaign is about servant leadership, community partnerships, accountability, and bringing people together to move our city forward.

No hype.
No empty promises.
No grandstanding.

✅ Just real work.

Let's choose progress.
Let's choose partnership.
Let's choose Highland Park.

Highland Park is more than headlines and history — it’s people, neighborhoods, families, and pride. 🇺🇸🏙️

As I continue listening, learning, and engaging throughout our city, I wanted to share a few moments and images that reflect both the beauty and the challenges of Highland Park. Real progress starts with paying attention, showing up, and working together.

This campaign is not about promises or politics as usual. It’s about being present, hearing the concerns of residents, and doing the work necessary to move our city forward.

Serving the community has never been about politics for me — it has always been about people. Looking forward to another day of encouragement, fellowship, and outreach at Bishop Moore Apartments.

Listening. Working. Serving.

Highland Park deserves people who genuinely care about the community — people willing to listen, work, and serve.

Real change begins when people start standing together for the future of the city we love. A fresh start begins with unity, accountability, compassion, and action.

Highland Park has greatness in its history — and I still believe greatness is ahead.
