On this day, 106 years ago, the 19th Amendment was passed. Since then, the fight for women's equality continues past our ballot boxes. We remember the generations of women who fought for and continue to fight to close the gaps still there.

As we inch closer to the upcoming elections in November, voters who rely on mail-in ballots should stay informed of the potential ruling the United States Supreme Court could make curtailing how the process works.

The plan, which complies with President Trump’s executive order to curtail mail voting, will only go into effect if the Supreme Court rules in the order’s favor.

She earned her JD from Wayne State University Law School. The appointment fills a partial term (Sept 14, 2026 - Jan 1, 2029) following the upcoming resignation of Judge Muriel Hughes.

The appointment fills a partial term (Sept 14, 2026 - Jan 1, 2029) following the resignation of Judge Leslie Kim Smith.
